Steward's Report
Lala Ornament, Neptune Town, Smiling Violet and Claretown Ryan were slow to begin.
Smiling Violet marred Alvin Delight in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg dew claw injury. A three day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Donna Knight, the trainer of Smiling Violet regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Alvin Delight was charged with marring. Ms Knight pleaded guilty to the charge, Smiling Violet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
