Stewards held the All Clear due to a mechanical failure of the lure approaching the home turn. In accordance with GAR 110, the Stewards declared the event to be a ‘No Race’. All bets are refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhound’s next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed. All greyhounds were ordered to undergo a post-race veterinary examination.
Due to the lure failure in Race 1, the remainder of the races were indefinitely delayed to assess the matter properly. After considering the matter, the Stewards were not comfortably satisfied with the operational reliability of the lure system for racing's continuance. Acting in accordance with GAR 110 (4), the remainder of the races were abandoned at 3.07pm. All bets on greyhounds in the remaining races are to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. Prizemoney to be split evenly between the eligible greyhounds.
