Steward's Report
In Motion – Late scratching at 1:37pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a laceration to the right front foot pad. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre–race sample was taken from Gary's Project.
Shine On Mikado was quick to begin. Dennis Delight was slow to begin.
Shine On Mikado fell on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Gary's Project underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring and right triangle injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Gary Webb regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Gary's Project was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Webb pleaded guilty to the charge, Gary's Project was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
