Steward's Report
Miasma Whirl was quick to begin. Ballistic Alex was slow to begin. Cody's Hope and Bacardi Bandit collided soon after the start. Cody's Hope checked off Bacardi Bandit on the first turn. Miasma Whirl marred the running of Sure Fantasy approaching the home turn and for the remainder of the event. Southwood Lady raced wide approaching the home turn checking Bacardi Bandit. Southwood Lady checked off Ballistic Alex entering the home straight.
Southwood Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right lower back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr.P.Crawley, the trainer of Southwood Lady regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.
Miasma Whirl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Miasma Whirl with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Warrnambool and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
