Camaraderie was slow to begin.
Sixteen Candles, Miss Woorndoo, Homecoming Queen and Lette Up collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Woorndoo and Homecoming Queen. Sixteen Candles, Aussie Nikita and Lette Up collided in the back straight checking Aussie Nikita. Lette Up galloped on the heels of Camraderie approaching the second turn. Sixteen Candles checked off Miss Geddes on the second turn. Sixteen Candles and Absolute Champ collided approaching the home turn checking Absolute Champ. Lette Up and Absolute Champ collided approaching the home turn. Sixteen Candles and Miss Woorndoo collided on the home turn, entering the home straight and in the home straight. Aussie Nikita checked off and collided with Camaraderie approaching the winning post.
Absolute Champ was vetted following the event. It was reported that they greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
