Steward's Report

Kennel Representative Mrs. C. Abela requested an early race endorsement for Aston Galaxy. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Aston Galaxy will compete in early races until further notice.

Unathi Bale underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury and was subsequently passed fit to race.

Loch and Loaded and Orson Avery was slow to begin.

Busy Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination after being severely checked and losing considerable ground turning into the back straight. Was found to have injuries to the left-fore dew claw and left-hind thigh muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Burch, the trainer of Busy Time regarding the greyhound's performance. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Burch to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Busy Time in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Supplementary Report 16/05/22: Trainer John Burch reported the greyhound Busy Time to have an injury to the right back muscle. Stewards advised Mr Burch that a vet clearance would be required prior to any future nomination.
