Steward's Report
Dr. Matrix - quick to begin. A post-race race sample was taken from the greyhound. A post-race initial veterinary examination reported no apparent injury. Dr. Matrix was revetted following Race 7 - no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Mr. K Quinn, the trainer of Dr. Matrix, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Dr. Matrix was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge, and Dr. Matrix suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Screaming Izzy - quick to beign. Raced wide. Muzzle wedged between its teeth on pulling up in the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr C. Baker regarding the greyhound's racing manners rounding the turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Baker, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Representative - Mr. Kevin Quinn fined $200 pursuant to GAR 46 for failing to arrive to the kennels by the appointed time to prepare Dr Matrix for its engagement.
