Steward's Report
Big Opal Rocks – Late scratching at 4.47pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31). Mr. M. Briganti informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr. Briganti that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence or a fine to be imposed.
Devil Sixteen and Yozo Bale were quick to begin. Tiggerlong Niblet and Daylen Bale were slow to begin.
Post-race samples were taken from Yozo Bale (1st) and Substantial (2nd).
Supplementary Report - 17 April 2022: The 28 day stand down was removed from Big Opal Rocks following the production of a receipt for a vehicle break down to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
