Steward's Report
Black Salt was quick to begin. Heza Apple and Mitch Sparrabush collided soon after the start checking Mitch Sparrabush. My Turanza, Smiley Sam and Heza Apple collided approaching the first turn checking Smiley Sam, which collided with We Are Geelong and Hot Thomeli. My Turanza checked off Heza Apple approaching the home turn. Mitch Sparrabush checked off the heels of Black Salt approaching the home turn. We Are Geelong, Black Salt and Mitch Sparrabush collided entering the home straight.
Black Salt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle and a puncture wound to the right inner thigh, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr.L.Mitchell, the trainer of the greyhound Mitch Sparrabush. Acting under Rule 71 (A) stewards charged Mitch Sparrabush with unreasonable aggression in the catching pen and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to Rule 71 (A) (1) (d) before any future nomination will be accepted.
