Lobo Loco was slow to begin.  Counterfeiter went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  Clovalley Belle was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Mr. Smart crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Premier Song and Saint Gas collided several times from soon after the start until the 200m mark.  Clovalley Belle and Mr. Smart collided at the 200m mark.  Premier Song and Saint Gas collided several times from the 150m mark until the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Lobo Loco and Clovalley Belle collided at the 100m mark.  Counterfeiter and Bozumolu collided approaching the winning post.

D. Dawson, Trainer of Dublin Dee redeclared a new weight of 26.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dublin Dee last raced at 24.9.

Mr. Optimistic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

G. Hopes, Trainer of Digger's Beach redeclared a new weight of 31.6 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Digger's Beach last raced at 30.0.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Spizzirri, Trainer of the greyhound Dirty Mary regarding the GRV Dress Code (LR22). Stewards took into consideration Mr Spizzirri's absense from the industry during changes to the dress code rule and issued him with a final warning.

Kynan's Magic and Best Song Ever were slow to begin.  Aussie Heritage, Money To Burn and Ketchum collided soon after the start.  Best Song Ever crossed to the ouside approaching the 250m mark.  Rybora Lizzie crossed to the rail approaching the 250m mark.  Aussie Heirtage and Rach's Tribe collided approaching the 200m mark, and again at the 200m mark.  Van Ghosting and Rybora Lizzie collided several times from approaching the 200m mark until the 150m mark.  Money To Burn and Rybora Lizzie collided approaching the 100m mark.  Rybora Lizzie and Rach's Tribe collided approaching the winning post.

G. Hopes, Trainer of Escapade Jess redeclared a new weight of 26.7 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Escapade Jess last raced at 25.2. 

Capacity, Senor Conan and Escapade Jess were slow to begin.  Senor Conan crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, checking Escapade Jess. Detcord checked off Infringement approaching the 150m mark.  Escapade Jess checked off Senor Conan at the 150m mark.  Detcord and Escapade Jess collided at the 50m mark.

Track Curator Lee Rowe advised stewards that the track was deep harrowed on Wednesday 23/7/14. 

Satisfactory Trial Results -

Cosmic Johno trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 34.8, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was17.05, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 6 lengths. Cosmic Johno was Cleared.
