Steward's Report
Jomar Jimber and Tammy Baxter were quick to begin. Arvo's Leroy was checked off Spicey Charmola soon after the start. Brandy's Puzzle was checked off Wildcard Lad soon after the start. Spicey Charmola clipped the heels of Buckle Up Angus on the first turn. Wildcard Lad was checked off Buckle Up Angus approaching the home turn checking Brandy's Puzzle. Arvo's Leroy galloped on Wildcard Lad on the home turn checking Arvo's Leroy. Arvo's Leroy eased entering the home straight and again in the home straight and tailed off as a result.
Stewards spoke to Mr. George Arvanitis the trainer of the greyhound Arvo's Leroy. Arvo's Leroy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left and right monkey muscle, left and right chest muscle and left pencil muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Arvo's Leroy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks purusant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
