Storm Raptor, Banjo Son and My Compass collided soon after the start checking Banjo Son. Nourish and Twelve Carat collided soon after the start checking Nourish. Banjo Son and Nourish collided on the first turn checking Banjo Son. Storm Raptor checked off My Compass approaching the home turn. Storm Raptor and Nourish collided approaching the home turn checking Storm Raptor.

A sample was taken from Aston Cassidy upon arrival at the course.

Nicko Boom, Mepunga Bounce and Aston Cassidy collided soon after the start checking Nicko Boom and Mepunga Bounce. Our Girls Shout, Lightning Prince, Nicko Boom and Mepunga Bounce collided on the first turn checking Lightning Prince and Mepunga Bounce, severely checking Our Girls Shout and Nicko Boom. Battle Axle visibly eased approaching the home turn and turned its head to the outside towards Aston Cassidy causing both greyhounds to collide several times, severely checking both greyhounds. Our Girls Shout and Lightning Prince collided entering the home straight. Battle Axle and Nicko Boom collided entering the home straight.

Battle Axle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr William Donlon declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Donlon, the trainer of Battle Axle regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Battle Axle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge, Battle Axle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Caledonian, Madison Rose and Blazing Beth collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

Bushman's Prayer was very slow to begin, 3 lengths.

Soho Expresso checked off Inga Linda soon after the start. Hillbilly Lass and Aston Arena collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Arena. Soho Expresso, Bushman's Prayer and Aston Arena collided on the first turn severely checking Soho Expresso. Bushman's Prayer checked off Aston Arena approaching the home turn. Hillbilly Lass and Hazelnut collided approaching the home turn checking Hazelnut. Inga Linda and Hazelnut collided in the home straight checking Inga Linda.

Soho Expresso underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind limb. No stand down period was imposed.

Extravagance and Let It Rain were quick to begin.

Rock Icon and Shanlyn Hunter collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Drop A Line checked off Easy Street on the first turn. Easy Street, Drop A Line and Princess Vegas collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

Villanova was very slow out, 3 lengths.

Glenore Lass and Queen Sal collided on the first turn checking Glenore Lass. I'm A Psycho and Aussie Bear collided on the first turn. Mcivor Clyde and Queen Sal collided on the second turn checking Mcivor Clyde. Mcivor Clyde checked off Queen Sal approaching the home turn. Glenore Lass and Queen Sal collided on the home turn checking Glenore Lass. Glenore Lass and Ready To Launch collided in the home straight checking Glenore Lass.

Meeting Comments:

Dundas Houdini – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Shepparton on 17/02/22. Dundas Houdini was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be not free from injury. Dundas Houdini was Not Cleared to race. A sample was taken for analysis.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 13/03/22.

Satisfactory Trial:

Another Schooner  – Weight/ 6 months - Field of 4, Distance 425m, Weight 33.8 kg, Box 3, Placed 4th, Time Run 25:277 - Comment:  Cleared All Tracks.

No Marjen  – FTC - Field of 4, Distance 425m, Weight 29.4 kg, Box 8, Placed 3rd, Time Run 24:686 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks except, Healesville.
