All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Riverdale Poppy was slow to begin.

Tinker Murphy and Union Square collided soon after the start. Tinker Murphy galloped on Blue Sadie approaching the first turn. Tinker Murphy checked off Riverdale Poppy on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Blue Sadie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Hodgson regarding the racing manners of Blue Sadie on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Hodgson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Dean - the winner of the event.

Claretown Garry was slow to begin.

Aquata and Mick The Magpie collided on the first turn checking Mick The Magpie. Aquata checked off Speedy Cashew approaching the home turn. Hot Wash, Claretown Garry and Mick The Magpie collided entering the home straight checking Hot Wash, Aquata, Claretown Garry and Mick The Magpie causing Claretown Garry to fall.

Claretown Garry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg radius/ulna fracture. Claretown Garry was humanely euthanased.

Kiss Me Deadly was quick to begin.

Doonside Shadow, Easy Street, Little Beamer and Guilty collided soon after the start. Zulu Riot and Doonside Shadow collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Doonside Shadow checked off Crackerjack Pa approaching the home turn checking Little Beamer. Doonside Shadow and Crackerjack Pa approaching the winning post.

Malafon and Emerald Lake collided soon after the start checking Emerald Lake. Dazz Desire checked off Malafon on the first turn. Emeald Lake checked off Dazz Desire approaching the home turn, causing Emerald Lake to hit the rail.

Emerald Lake underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was taken from Riverdale Bear.

Riverdale Mitch and Jagger Bale collided soon after the start checking Jagger Bale. Riverdale Bear and Squawking Budgie collided soon after the start. Riverdale Bear checked off Jagger Bale on the first turn checking Squawking Budgie. Riverdale Mitch turned its head inwards and visible eased entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Riverdale Mitch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to representative Mr I. Green, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Riverdale Mitch was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr I. Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Riverdale Mitch was suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Major China checked off Aston Spinel on the first turn. Another Storm checked off Aston Spinel approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Master Class - the winner of the event.

Another Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Nagambie Bale was slow to begin.

Nagambie Bale checked off Crumb Snags approaching the first turn. Crumb Snags checked off Joey Mac approaching the winning post. 

Reiko Haze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasion to track leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Pandorica, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Forever was quick to begin.

Credent, Crackerjack Pop and Janine's Desire collided soon after the start. Credent and Janine's Desire collided approaching the first turn. Credent and Crackerjack Pop collided on the first turn. Forever checked off Blackpool Homer approaching the home turn. Pandorica, Forever and Blackpool Homer collided entering the home straight checking Forever. 

Speedy Muffin, Spencer Giblet and Chillout Cookie were slow to begin.

Chillout Cookie visibly eased on the first turn.

Chillout Cookie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasion to muzzle area. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms Kelleigh Smith regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Chillout Cookie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Chillout Cookie was suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jack's Cracker.

Deb's Wish was slow to begin.

Pat The Tiger checked off Jack's Cracker soon after the start. Just Saying checked off Jack's Cracker approaching the home turn checking My My My. King Chad checked off Just Saying on the home turn causing King Chad to fall. 

King Chad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.

Lil Snooze checked off Katie Cortis approaching the first turn.
