All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Flying Mercedes was quick to begin. Cheetah Icon was slow to begin.

Big Boy Duke, Brothers In Arms and Brightly Staring collided approaching the first turn checking Brothers In Arms and Big Boy Duke. Nourish and Brightly Staring collided on the first turn checking Brightly Staring.

A pre-race sample was taken from Keepsake.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Halloumi with Mr. Jordan Formosa and noted his comments.

Hasten Hilda and Cranky Bruce collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Halloumi, Easy Breezy, Crucial, Maria Laguerta and False Alarm collided approaching the first turn checking Halloumi, Easy Breezy, Crucial and Maria Laguerta. Keepsake race wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Maria Laguerta underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Abraham Formosa, the trainer of Maria Laguerta regarding Maria Laguerta's perfomance.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Formosa to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Maria Laguerta in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Stimulation was quick to begin.

Deck Forty Nine and Crown Rita were slow to begin.

Market Bella and Deck Forty Nine collided on the first turn. Market bella checked off Back Pat approaching the home turn and collided with Deck Forty Nine severely checking Market Bell and Deck Forty Nine. Back Pat faltered entering the home straight and lost ground as a result.

Back Pat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-examined after Race 5 and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Neville Bischard, the trainer of Back Pat regarding the greyhound faltering and losing ground.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Bischard to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Back Pat in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Supplementary Report: Trainer Neville Bischard identified that Back Pat had a sore pad on the left front foot and a sore monkey muscle, when arriving home from the venue. 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward, Ms. Stacey Evans did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Crystal Rocks and Big Vader collided soon after the start checking Big Vader. Crystal Rocks and My Name's Jean collided on the first turn checking My Name's Jean. Bugs and Dan's Butler collided entering the home straight. My Name's Jean checked off Big Vader in the home straight.

Bugs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right fore shin soreness and a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Market Bob was quick to begin.

Indigo Indy and Now And Then collided approaching the first turn. Flash Paws, Spanish Bullion and Husky Freckle collided on the first turn checkiing Spanish Bullion and Husky Freckle. Now And Then checked off Rockstar Harley on the home turn.

Diamond Socks – Late scratching at 08:39 when Mr. Brent Merton reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Two Up Tommy, Lunaray and Maggie Pie collided soon after the start checking Lunaray. Maggie Pie and Silky Rose collided on the first turn checking Two Up Tommy, Silky Rose, New Samsation and Twilight Connie. Sily Rose raced wide entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bonnie Too Good.

Jocularity, Rare Sapphire and Florentino collided soon after the start checking Rare Sapphire. Ombra checked off Hone Your Skills on the first turn. Rare Sapphire and Hone Your Skills collided on the home turn. Ombra raced wide entering the home straight.

Fashion Icon and Rockstar Haynes collided soon after the start checking Fashion Icon. Twilight Rogue and Rockstar Haynes collided approaching the first turn checking Twilight Rogue. Why Delila, Super Sparkle and Rockstar Haynes collided on the first turn checking Super Sparkle. Six And Out faltered on the home turn checking Fashion Icon and tailed off as a result. Twilight Rogue and Runnin' Riot raced wide entering the home straight.

Six And Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right  hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Dementor went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Dr. Barrett galloped on Evan's Almighty on the first turn checking Dr. Barrett, Mystical Heist and Forgot To Tap and severly checking Evan's Almighty which fell as a result. Mystical Heist and Forgot To Tap collided entering the home straight.

Evan's Almighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right chest muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr David Warburton regarding the scratching of Alinta's Gift, as the scratching has afforded a start to another greyhound trained by Mr Warburton (Tat Yummy).  Mr Warburton explained that he scratched Alinta's Gift two days ago due to it showing signs of kennel cough, and has since also shown some soreness to a right fore toe.  Mr Warburton explained that the greyhound would likely take 10 days to recover from these issues. Stewards noted his explanation.

Gunther – Late scratching at 08:52 when Mr. Jordan Formosa reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
