All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Halloumi with Trainer Mr Jason Formosa and noted their comments.

Hillbilly Blaze and Locky collided soon after the start. Cephalopod Quill and Sydney Showgirl collided approaching the first turn. Hillbilly Blaze and Locky collided on the first turn. Hagibis and Devil's Water collided on the first turn, checking Hagibis. Halloumi and Dan's Butler collided on the home turn. Locky raced wide in the home straight. 

Halloumi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Mystify Princess was slow to begin. Shaggy Rufus, Aston Oscar and Mystify Princess collided approaching the first turn, checking Shaggy Rufus and Mystify Princess. Aston Oscar, Kraken Freckles and My Name's Judy collided entering the home straight. Shaggy Rufus and Mystify Princess collided in the home straight.

Lights Strike was quick to begin. Hasten Hilda was slow to begin. Magic Murray, My Name's Carl and Aston Tonto collided approaching the first turn. Hasten Hilda and Jenny's Chances collided approaching the first turn. Magic Murray and Aston Tonto collided on the first turn checking Magic Murray. Hasten Hilda, Jenny's Chances and My Name's Carl collided on the first turn checking My Name's Carl. Jenny's Chances raced wide entering the home straight.

Flying Mercedes was quick to begin. Ria, Flying Mercedes and Brightly Staring collided approaching the first turn checking Ria. Aston Laurent and Flying Mercedes collided on the first turn checking Fkying Mercedes. Cawbourne Marto and Sartana collided approaching the home turn.

Global Beauty – Late scratching at 10 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mrs. Jennifer Torr was fined $100.

Aston Arena and Yallock Lass were quick to begin. Stay Together was slow to begin. Denis The Menace, Big John, It's Coming Home and Stay Together collided approaching the first turn. Denis The Menace and Stay Together collided on the first turn. Yallock Lass, Big John and Stay Together collided approaching the home turn. Yallock Lass and It's Coming Home collided entering the home straight. Denis The Menace and Yelich collided in the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Moon's Are Light on 21 December, 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Buck Hunter, My Believer and Keepsake were slow to begin. Buck Hunter, My Believer, Mountain Stew and Moon's Are Light collided approaching the first turn checking Mountain Stew. My Believer clipped the heels of Buck Hunter approaching the first turn. My Believer and Master Ogilvie collided approaching the first turn. Keepsake, Yulong Yap and Buck Hunter collided on the first turn severely checking Yulong Yap. My Believer and Keepsake raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Smiling Spaniard - winner of the event.

Kraken Scar and Wonders Magic collided approaching the first turn. Candlelight Jazz and Stings To Burn collided approaching the first turn. Champ Cheese eased and tailed off on the first turn. Blazing Sal and Lady Belladonna collided approaching the home turn checking Blazing Sal. Blazing Sal and Stings To Burn collided on the home turn checking Blazing Sal and causing Sings To Burn to fall. Wonders Magic and Dimes Ambition collided in the home straight.

Stings To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right deltoid muscle and right groin. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Champ Cheese underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injur. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Aaron Debattista regarding the scratching of Donny Rocks, as the scratching has afforded a start to another greyhound trained by Mr Debattista (Holly Fever).  Mr Debattista explained that he scratched Donny Rocks yesterday due to a hock injury. Mr Debattista explained that the greyhound would likely take at least 10 days to recover from these issues. Stewards noted his explanation.

Chillout Cookie was quick to begin. Banner Lomar was slow to begin. Hasten Jet and Holly Fever collided on the first turn checking Hasten Jet. Hasten Jet, Tat Panda and Banner Lomar collided approaching the home turn severely checking Banner Lomar. Kraken Attila and Junior Marjen collided entering the home straight. Chillout Cookie and Junior Marjen collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Josh Duncan regarding the racing manners of Chillout Cookie approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Duncan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Limburg Bell was slow to begin. Cocktail, Twilight Harry and Aston Astrid collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Astrid. Big Vader and Aston Astrid collided on the first turn severely checking Big Vader.

Chuck Attack and Milo Rose collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Global Gossip - winner of the event.

Bootleg Road was slow to begin. Ava's Prediction, Rule The Galaxy and Bear Lee Time collided approaching the first turn checking Rule The Galaxy. Market Scooby and Summer Scorcher collided on the first turn checking Market Scooby. Bear Lee Time and Greysynd Clipper collided on the first turn. Bear Lee Time and Stylish Ken collided several times in the home straight.
