Hi Ena was quick to begin.  Archie’s Entity and Ruby Runner were slow to begin.  Archie’s Entity, Soda Jazzy and Orange Ruffy collided approaching the first turn.  Archie’s Entity, Orange Ruffy and Hi Ena collided approaching the first turn.  Archie’s Entity, Ruby Runner and Hi Ena collided approaching the 250 metres checking Hi Ena,  Aston River and Mumbo Alarm collided on the home turn.

Aston Salma was quick to begin.  Dark Summer was slow to begin.  Inter Brae, Dr. May and Plane Rocky were very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Dr. May and Inter Brae collided soon after the start.  Dark Summer, Dr. May and Plane Rocky contacted the running rail at the 350 metres.  Theodore Rose checked off Mighty Mick at the 150 metres.

Dark Summer underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left thigh muscle and abrasions on the left tibia and left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Inter Brae underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle, right thigh muscle and right triangle muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. May underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wounds on both hind legs.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Plane Rocky underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist, an abradded left stopper pad and an abrasion on the left wrist.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed 

Simba’s Girl was quick to begin.  Dr. Carlson was slow to begin.  Sweet Tweety checked off Dr. Carlson approaching the 250 metres.  Soda Ruby, Awe Shanks and Run Topper collided at the 250 metres checking Awe Shanks, severely checking Soda Ruby.  Soda Ruby contacted the running rail at the 250 metres.

Soda Ruby underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post race sample was taken from Simba’s Girl - winner of the event.

Dr. Boone - New declared weight of 30.9kg, last raced at 32.0kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Audacious.

Mr. Audacious was quick to begin.  Black Spartacus and Dr. Valentin were slow to begin.  Dr. Boone checked off Winnindoo Wendy entering the home straight.  Dr. Cheyanne and Dr. Boone collided in the home straight.

Black Spartacus underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to licensed participant Mr. Mark Busuttil regarding an incident at the winning post following the running of this event. Mr. Busuttil was charged for conduct detrimental to the image of greyhound racing pursuant to GAR 86(q). Mr. Busuttil pleaded guilty to the charge and Stewards imposed a fine to the amount of $250.00.

Blazin’ Sushi and High Profiler were quick to begin.  Kisber was slow to begin.  Zeki and Blazin’ Sushi collided at the 250 metres checking Blazin’ Sushi.  Victory Boy and Zeki collided entering the home straight severely checking Victory Boy.

Dr. Macy Jane - New declared weight of 29.9kg, last raced at 28.5kg.

Royal Gossip checked off Why Not Opal approaching the 250 metres.  Royal Gossip galloped on Electric Mick at the 250 metres causing Royal Gossip to fall, Speed Demon was severely checked as a result.  Electric Mick galloped on Captain Cruiser at the 200 metres causing Captain Cruiser to fall. Royal Gossip underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle and abrasions.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Billy Bob Jordan underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards declared this event a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 56 due to a mechanical issue with the lure. Stewards delayed all remaining races whilst the lure issue was resolved. Following testing of the lure system and consultation with all relevant parties, Stewards deemed it suitable to resume racing.

Sally’s Return was quick to begin.  Audacious Stell was slow to begin.  Lady Wendy Hook and Ice Cool Kimmi brushed the running rail approaching the 250 metres.  Aston Miguel and Gunai Girl collided several times approaching the 150 metres.  Gunai Girl clipped the heels of Lady Wendy Hook entering the home straight and fell.

Gubai Girl underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist and left shoulder muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was re-scheduled to 9.15pm.

Piece Of Heaven was slow to begin.  Joe’s Entity was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Knuckles Galore, Joe’s Entity and I’m The Sandman collided at the 200 metres checking I’m The Sandman.  Annabelle Rocks checked off Aqua’s Hope entering the home straight.  Annabelle Rocks and Audacious Flame collided approaching the winning post.  Joe’s Entity and Knuckles Galore collided approaching the winning post.

I’m The Sandman underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

My Dad Baz was quick to begin.  Agronomous stumbled soon after the start and lost ground.  Agronomous brushed the running rail approaching the first turn.  Top Faith and My Dad Baz collided on the first turn.

Concrete Fever and Next Teardrop were quick to begin.  Aston Sundance was slow to begin.  Concrete Fever visibly eased at the 200 metres.  Aston Sundance checked off Willow Ash at the 150 metres.  Sandy Gem and Next Teardrop collided entering the home straight.

Why Not Kez underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hock.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Update 31/01/22: Trainer L Carter advised stewards that a follow-up examination by his vetrinarian revealed a dislocation of the left hock and the greyhound would undergo surgery on 01/02/22.

Aston Sundance underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right shoulder muscle and left thigh muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. John Bosnich regarding the racing manners of Aston Sundance approaching the 200 metres.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bosnich, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 200 metres.

Concrete Fever underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Lindsay Fulford regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200 metres.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Concrete Fever was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Concrete Fever was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
