Cheetah Icon checked off Buck Hunter soon after the start checking Cheetah Icon and Cranky Bruce. Who Knows Chloe and Twilight Scar collided on the first turn checking Twilight Scar. Cranky Bruce checked off Cheetah Icon approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Half Job, Evan's Almighty and Bell Topper collided on the first turn checking Half Job and Bell Topper and severely checking Evan's Almighty. Half Job and Bell Topper collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Half Job and Bell Topper collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Amber Beauty and Aston Hartlett collided approaching the winning post.

Evan's Almighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Rock Icon was slow to begin.

Alinta's Gift and Alcindor collided approaching the first turn checking Alinta's Gift.  Alcindor, General Shiraz, Wonder Lomar and Princess Vegas collided on the first turn severely checking General Shiraz and Wonder Lomar.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jordan Formosa regarding the scratching of Footy Trip Fund, as the scratching has afforded a start to another greyhound trained by Mr Formosa (Huntly Flyer).  Mr Formosa explained that Footy Trip Fund had undergone an on-track veterinary examination after racing at Ballarat on Monday, with no apparant injury recorded. Mr Formosa stated that upon checking the greyhound on Tuesday morning he was showing foot soreness and when there was no improvement the follwing day, elected to scratch the greyhound. Stewards noted his explanation.

Reiko Bingle was slow to begin.

Slippery Swan, Rev Up Freddie, Aston Scepter, Huntly Flyer and Cracker collided on the first turn checking Rev Up Freddie, Aston Scepter, Huntly Flyer and Cracker. Rev Up Freddy and Cracker collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Atomic Cabang – New declared weight of 34.6 kg, last raced at 33.5 kg.

Kraken Attila– Late scratching at 11:11 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left rear split webbing.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Micmac Miss and Chillout Cookie were quick to begin.

Zipping Winslet checked off Chillout Cookie on the first turn. Aston Houston raced wide on the home turn.

Bear Lee Bandit was slow to begin.

Crucial and Afro Puff collided on the first turn checking Crucial, Bear Lee Bandit and Weaving Magic. Seize Possession galloped on Let It Rain approaching the home turn severely checking Seize Possession and causing Market Sally and Let It Rain to fall as a result.

Market Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Greysynd Clipper – Late scratching at 10:56 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left fore toe injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stylish Ken and Yallock Lass collided soon after the start checking Yallock Lass. Skull and Engaging collided on the home turn checking Engaging.

Dr. Barrett went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Zipping Tula was slow to begin.

Unknown Ability, Budget Buster and Global Gossip collided approaching the home turn checking Budget Buster. Bumpy's Dad Roy checked off On The Mend on the home turn. Dr. Barrett raced wide on the home turn. Unknown Ability checked off Bumpy's Dad Roy on the home turn and raced wide entering the home straight as a result.
