Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Flying Mercedes.
Trainer Mr. William Donlon failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Quiz Pop for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
Saint Bogan and Cool Whip were slow to begin. Saint Bogan lost ground approaching the first turn. Cool Whip, Quiz Pop and Double Top collided approaching the home turn severely checking Quiz Pop. Chasing The Edge and Double Top collided on the home turn. Marrying and Cool Whip collided on the home turn.
Saint Bogan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Slingshot Zoe - winner of the event.
