Trainer Mr. William Donlon failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Quiz Pop for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Saint Bogan and Cool Whip were slow to begin. Saint Bogan lost ground approaching the first turn. Cool Whip, Quiz Pop and Double Top collided approaching the home turn severely checking Quiz Pop. Chasing The Edge and Double Top collided on the home turn. Marrying and Cool Whip collided on the home turn.

Saint Bogan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Molly May went up with the lids at box rise. Lala Fig, Chasing Summer and Our Boy Ziggy collided approaching the first turn checking Chasing Summer which collided with McIvor Bonnie. Chasing Summer and McIvor Bonnie collided several times approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Veracruz Bale with Kennel representative Mr L.Harris and noted their comments.

Knight's Cross, Veracruz Bale and Blackpool Homer were slow to begin. Budget Buster, McIvor Clyde and Ivanka Tea collided approaching the first turn checking McIvor Clyde. Budget Buster and Knight's Cross collided approaching the first turn. Chaing Love, Stella's Memory and Ivanka Tea collided approaching the home turn. Blackpool Homer and Budget Buster collided approaching the home turn checking Budget Buster. Chasing Love and McIvor Clyde collided on the home turn.

Budget Buster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left stopper pad injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Veracruz Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the right triangle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Miss Me, Ready To Launch, Big Leigh and Brizo collided on the first turn checking Brizo and Big Leigh. Brizo lost ground and tailed off approaching the home turn.

Brizo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a left biceps injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Look Around and She's Something were slow to begin. College Girl eased on the first turn. Prince Of Idol and Look Around collided on the second turn.

College Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination. No apparent injury was found. Trainer Mr R.Hayes declined to have the greyhound revetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Hayes, the trainer of College Girl regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) College Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Hayes pleaded guilty to the charge, College Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zippy Wiseman – Late scratching at 12:41pm when Trainer Ms D.Knight reported the greyhound to have a right wrist injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Johnny Fatboy eased and tailed off on the first turn. Barooga Banjo and Agnet Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Agnet Bale. Barooga Banjo and Wonder Lomar collided approaching the home turn. Barooga Banjo lost ground in the home straight.

Barooga Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left elbow injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Fatboy Johnny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
