Steward's Report
Ellie Bliss was slow to begin.
Flying Mercedes and White Nikita collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Flying Mercedes and Ellie Bliss collided approaching the first turn checking Flying Mercedes. Mumma's Meatball and Makayla's Diva collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mumma's Meatball turned it's head outwards approaching the home turn and marred Makayla's Diva, severely checking both greyhounds.
Mumma's Meatball underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Julie Chilcott, the representative of Mumma's Meatball regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mumma's Meatball was charged with marring. Mrs. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Mumma's Meatball was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
