Steward's Report
Trending Striker and Blue Tequila were slow to begin.
McIvor Clyde and Kanji Olympic collided soon after the start. Half Pint and Kanji Olympic collided approaching the first turn. False Alarm visibly eased and collided with Lap To Far approaching the home turn severely checking Lap To Far and Blue Tequila.
False Alarm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Ronald Kenworthy, the trainer of False Alarm regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) False Alarm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kenworthy pleaded guilty to the charge, False Alarm was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
