Steward's Report
Jigglypuff and Calix Bale collided approaching the first turn. Jagger's Lady checked off Ximena Bale approaching the first turn. Compton Redeemer and Ximena Bale collided on the first turn, checking Ximena Bale and Jagger's Lady. Ximena Bale, Yaala Express and Jigglypuff collided approaching the home turn, checking Jigglypuff. Jagger's Lady galloped on the heels of Jigglypuff approaching the home turn. Jagger's Lady checked off Jigglypuff approaching the home turn. Ximena Bale raced wide on the home turn, checking Yaala Express. Original Chicken and Starfleet collided entering the home straight. Original Chicken veered out and marred Starfleet in the home straight, checking Starfleet.
Original Chicken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions, left hind leg and a spike wound, left wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr George Dailly, the handler of Original Chicken regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Original Chicken was charged with marring. Mr. George Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Original Chicken was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
