Balts Galore was slow to begin.

Gogo Simone, Oldrik Bale, Veracruz Bale and Quamby Bale were slow to begin.

Ferocious Rust and Melville Bale collided several times approaching the first turn. Gogo Simone visibly eased on the first turn. See Me Balt checked off Forrest Elbow on the first turn. Ferocious Rust checked off Melville Bale approaching the home turn. Oldrik Bale checked off See Me Balt approaching the home turn. 

Gogo Simone underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Frank Meyer declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Meyer , the trainer of Gogo Simone regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Gogo Simone was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Frank Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Gogo Simone was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this race was re-scheduled from 7.38pm to 7.42pm as requested by Sky Channel.

Demantor, Icarus Bale, Cold Diesel and Gypsy Seymour collided soon after the start. Cold Diesel checked off Icarus Bale on the first turn. Cherokee Slider checked off Icarus Bale approaching the home turn. Icarus Bale and Gypsy Seymour raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Strutt regarding the boxing manners of Loretta Bale. After hearing evidence from Mr. Strutt, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's boxing manners.

Joffa's Monaro was slow to begin.

Joffa's Monaro checked off Negasi Bale soon after the start. All Inn Chester, Lola Coaster and All Inn Benny collided approaching the first turn, checking Lola Coaster and All Inn Benny. All Inn Benny, Lola Coaster and Joffa's Monaro collided entering the back straight, checking Lola Coaster, which tailed off as a result. All Inn Benny and Joffa's Monaro collided in the back straight, checking Joffa's Monaro. All Inn Chester checked off Foxy Bourbski approaching the home turn. All Inn Chester and Negasi Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking All Inn Chester. All Inn Benny and Negasi Bale collided entering the home straight.  

Lola Coaster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right triceps injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Indy Lolly and Langfield Bale were quick to begin. Reloaded and Tinker Count were slow to begin.  

Just Rambling checked off Trickity Click soon after the start. Tinker Count and Just Rambling collided approaching the first turn. Original Chicken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions, left hind leg and a spike wound, left wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Original Chicken was charged with marring. Mr. George Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Original Chicken was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Worldwide with Ms. M. Biggins and noted their comments.

Worldwide underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
