Shivers – Late scratching at 10:23am when Trainer Matthew Marshall reported the greyhound to have abrasions (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mepunga Legend.
Weblec Wave was slow to begin.
All greyhounds collided on the first turn checking Whackahoro severely checking Amelie Otis, Aston Jonas, Weblec Wave and Shot Fossil. Amelie Otis and Shot Fossil collided approaching the second turn. Amelie Otis and Weblec Wave collided on the second turn. Mepunga Legend and Aston Jonas collided entering the home straight checking Mepunga Legend.
