Steward's Report
College Prince and Gold Tie Bob collided on the first turn. McIvor Ernie, College Prince and Prince Cody collided approaching the first turn. McIvor Ernie and Strategic raced wide in the home straight. Double Up visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight.
Double Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left back muscle injury. A 7 stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Kevin Ashton regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Double Up was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Ashton pleaded guilty to the charge, Double Up was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
