Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Inga Meg.
Inga Meg, Burgin Baby and Little Jesa were quick to begin. Gold Tie Bob was slow to begin.
Get Around Her, Crystal Edition and Humanity collided soon after the start. Mt. View Sassy and Get Around Her collided approaching the first turn, checking Mt. View Sassy. Mt. View Sassy and Gold Tie Bob collided on the first turn. Inga Meg eased approaching the winning post.
Inga Meg underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined at 4:20pm. Inga Meg was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Chris Constantinou, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Inga Meg was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Constantinou pleaded guilty to the charge, Inga Meg was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Due to further heavy rainfall the Stewards inspected the track and deemed the surface unsatisfactory for racing, the race meeting was abandoned at 4:53pm
