Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Wednesday, 1 September 2021.

The start of the meeting was delayed by 11 minutes to allow Stewards to inspect the track following heavy rainfall in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.  Races 1, 2 and 3 were amended to the following times: Race 1 - 3:05 pm; Race 2 - 3:22 pm and Race 3 - 3:45 pm.

Unravel, Mt. View Blonde and Beena Success were slow to begin.

Unravel, Mt. View Blonde and Lemon collided soon after the start, checking Lemon.  Unravel and Classy Edition collided approaching the first turn, checking Classy Edition.  Fat Cracker and Kotah collided approaching the first turn, checking Kotah.  Mt. View Blonde, Beena Success and Kotah collided on the first turn; checking Beena Success and Kotah.  Kotah contacted the running rail on the home turn.

Kotah underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mt. View Moon.

Opal Dealer, Flight Chaser and Aranyi were quick to begin.  Magic Rooster was slow to begin.

Magic Rooster, Mt. View Moon and Aranyi collided soon after the start.  Flight Chaser crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Magic Rooster and Mt. View Bee collided on the first turn.  Killshot and Mt. View Bee collided on the first turn.  Mt. View Moon and Mt. View Bee collided on the first turn; checking Mt. View Bee; severely checking Mt. View Moon.  Killshot and Aranyi collided on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Killshot and Mt. View Bee collided on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.

Lead The Way was quick to begin.  Salute Sideways was slow to begin.

Barnaby Blitz and Flying Torpedo collided soon after the start.  Zipping Gomez and Yareli Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Lead The Way, Zipping Gomez and Salute Sideways collided approaching the first turn.

Zipping Gomez underwent a post–race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. 

Salute Sideways underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations to the right foreleg toe and pad.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Barnaby Blitz - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Inga Meg.

Inga Meg, Burgin Baby and Little Jesa were quick to begin.  Gold Tie Bob was slow to begin.

Get Around Her, Crystal Edition and Humanity collided soon after the start.  Mt. View Sassy and Get Around Her collided approaching the first turn, checking Mt. View Sassy.  Mt. View Sassy and Gold Tie Bob collided on the first turn.  Inga Meg eased approaching the winning post.

Inga Meg underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined at 4:20pm.  Inga Meg was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Chris Constantinou, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Inga Meg was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Constantinou pleaded guilty to the charge, Inga Meg was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Due to further heavy rainfall the Stewards inspected the track and deemed the surface unsatisfactory for racing, the race meeting was abandoned at 4:53pm

Saint Phoenix – Late scratching at 2:20 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Ms. Ebony Cortese was fined $100.

Big Lug – Late scratching at 2:29 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Dean Miller was fined $100.
