Diversify and Riptide Buddy collided on the first turn checking Diversify.  Riptide Buddy galloped on the heels on Ava's Journey approaching the home turn checking Riptide Buddy. Champ Duran galloped on the heels of Ava's Journey approaching the home turn severely checking False Alarm, severely checking Riptide Buddy which stumbled; causing Champ Duran to fall.

Cam's Girl, Ombra and Three Kisses collided approaching the first turn. Baffling and Orson Ruby collided on the first turn. Cam's Girl, Ombra and Three Kisses collided approaching the home turn severely checking Three Kisses; causing Ombra to fall. Ludgate and Baffling collided entering the home straight. Cam's Girl and Ludgate collided approaching the winning post.

Ombra underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left quadriceps and right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards noted that there was a late change of trainer for the greyhound Aston Scepter from Trainer Mr Craig Webb to Mr Samuel Webb on the 26 August, 2021.
