Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Bricabrac on 26 May 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Panadero Grace.
My Gem and Panadero Grace were quick to begin. Bricabrac was checked off Jax Flash approaching the first turn. Jax Flash, Panadero Grace and Hurricane Keely collided on the first turn checking Willow’s Hand and Panadero Grace. Bricabrac faltered entering the home straight and lost ground.
Bricabrac underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist and right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. D. McKenzie failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Hurricane Keely for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
