Conquer Fear and Hot Blooded were slow to begin. Talented Miss and Another Peanut collided approaching the first turn checking Talented Miss. Conquer Fear checked off Another Peanut on the first turn checking Talented Miss and Hot Blooded causing Talented Miss to fall. Our Blue Earner and Henry Rose collided approaching the home turn. Hot Blooded and Bella Oil collided approaching the home turn. Hot Blooded and Henry Rose collided on the home turn checking Henry Rose causing Conquer Fear to race wide. Conquer Fear and Henry Rose collided in the home straight.
Talented Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind pencil muscle injury and a graze to the left front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Another Peanut was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Musselwhite, the trainer of the greyhound Another Peanut. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Another Peanut with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sale and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
