Zap- A pre-race sample was taken.
Our Tie Breaker - Quick to begin.
Zap - Shifted out on the home turn, collided with Our Tie Breaker and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a monkey muscle injury to the right foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Audrey visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight. Dr. Audrey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded paw pad to the left foreleg and abraded carpal pad to the right foreleg. a zero day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dr. Audrey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Jennifer Gill pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Audrey was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
