Steward's Report
Kick It Home was quick to begin.
Kick It Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to its racing manners approaching the winning post and was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Ms Church, the handler of Kick It Home who declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Kick It Home was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Church pleaded guilty to the charge, Kick It Home was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards further directed that in the performance of a Satisfactory Trial the greyhound must pass the catching pen gate in order to meet the requirements of the Satisfactory Trial.
