Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.6 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Lights Strike was slow to begin.
Hot Wash and Back Pat collided soon after the start checking Hot Wash. Hot Wash and All Inn Velvet collided on the first turn checking All Inn Velvet. Back Pat, Cam's Girl and Inside Out collided in the home straight checking Hot Wash. Cam's Girl turned it's head inwards in the home straight checking Back Pat and Inside Out.
Cam's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examinded following race 4 and was found to have a left hip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Brent Merton regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Cam's Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Merton pleaded guilty to the charge, Cam's Girl was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
