All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 20.6 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Deeming Rate and Baffling were quick to begin.  Fabriola Yanis was slow to begin.

Mr. Fawnstone and Nana Pat collided approaching the first turn.  Pyrenees Prada checked off Laid Back Larry approaching the first turn and collided with Orford Bale checking Pyrenees Prada and Orford Bale.  Mr. Fawnstone galloped on White Nikita approaching the first turn checking White Nikita.  Pyrenees Prada raced wide on the home turn.  Mr. Fawnstone and Nana Pat collided entering the home straight.

Idaho Evie was quick to begin.

Kiss Me Deadly crossed in approaching the first turn checking Emerald Lake and Poppy To Burn.  Inga Assalt and Emerald Lake collided approaching the first turn checking Inga Assalt.  Poppy To Burn checked off Emerald Lake on the first turn.

Rumbling Black was slow to begin.

Affair Fantasy and Moonlit Jewel collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Moonlit Jewel crossed in on the first turn checking Rumbling Black.  Stormy Lights galloped on Red Spur Flyer approaching the home turn.  Red Spur Flyer galloped on Stormy Lights in the home straight.  

Go Forward Tink and Quinnish collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  

Major China was slow to begin.

Finch and Mr. Buck Lee collided soon after the start.  Zipping Iris and Finch collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Iris.  Jimmy Reiko crossed in on the first turn checking Jimmy Cheesecake.  Finch, Roxy Rum Pumper, Major China and Jimmy Cheesecake collided approaching the home turn checking all four greyhounds.  Roxy Rum Pumper and Jimmy Cheesecake collided in the home straight.

Kandinsky was slow to begin.

Chanko Girl, Bissaka Spider, Irongate and Pyrenees Spirit collided soon after the start, checking Chanko Girl and Irongate, severely checking Bissaka Spider.  Chanko Girl checked off Kandinsky entering the home straight.

Bissaka Spider underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left thigh and right hip.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Joffa's Monaro, Two Up Tommy and Runnin' Riot were slow to begin.

Two Up Tommy and Runnin' Riot raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Gamblin' Ways - winner of the event. 

Blazer Nation was quick to begin.  Spencer Giblet was slow to begin.

Cambria Bale and Dollhouse Agogo collided on the second turn checking Story Unfolds.

Story Unfolds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Loft, trainer of Story Unfolds, after the greyhound performed below market expectations. Mr. Loft advised Stewards that whilst he expected a forward showing from the greyhound, he also believed the greyhound’s quote was shorter than it should have been. Mr. Loft further advised Stewards that the greyhound will go for a freshen up prior to the resumption of racing. Stewards took into consideration the greyhound’s injury and the submissions made by Mr. Loft and took no further action.

Zipping Dudley was slow to begin.

Zipping Dudley and Consumption collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Dudley.  Zipping Winslet raced wide in the home straight. 

Waikerie Bandit - Late scratching at 11:14am by Order of Stewards.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Kanji Length.

Reiko Shock and Brizo were slow to begin and raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dundee Zircon.

Dundee Zircon and Black Martini collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Silver Ambition crossed in approaching the first turn checking Silver Harp.  Silver Harp clipped the heels of Silver Ambition approaching the first turn, checking Silver Ambition.  Silver Harp and Black Martini collided approaching the home turn checking Silver Harp and It's Coming Home. Silver Harp and It's Coming Home collided entering the home straight.

Silver Ambition underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Robert Weightman regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Weightman, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
