All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Track curator Mr T. Godfrey advised that the track was deeply harrowed on Saturday 29 January 2022.

Madam Chelsea, Mepunga Hayles and Defined Benefit collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Hayles and Defined Benefit.  Rio Margarita, Seven Ounce and Story Unfolds collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Hayles, Bark Healy and Seven Ounce collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Seven Ounce checked off Rio Margarita approaching the second turn.  Aston Wonder and Madam Chelsea collided in the home straight.  Mepunga Hayles and Story Unfolds collided in the home straight.

Stewards conferred with the judges regarding the margin and finishing times for 1st and 2nd place between Aston Wonder and Madam Chelsea. A clear margin of a nose was visible in the photo finish image with the actual finish time for Aston Wonder being 34.7168 compared to 34.7170 for Madam Chelsea. However, as Fasttrack is limited to three decimal places, both times were automatically rounded to 34.717 and as such no margin is displayed in Fasttrack.

Handler Mr C. MacLeod was issued a warning pursuant to GAR86(a) for contravening GAR46(b) in that he presented She's For Real to race wearing the incorrect race rug. 

Little Nellie was quick to begin.  Fireweed and Affair Bit were slow to begin.

Aston Alpha and White Surprise collided soon after the start.  Fireweed and Zing On collided approaching the first turn.  Fireweed and Gold Symbol collided on the first turn.  Gotham Baroness checked off Little Nellie on the first turn.  Zing On, Gold Symbol and Aston Alpha collided on the first turn checking Gold Symbol.  

Orca was quick to begin.

Mepunga Web and Venus Light collided on the first turn.  Mepunga Web and Shima Glow collided on the second turn.

Arizona Eyes was slow to begin.

Gypsy Toowoomba, Notoriety, Daylen Bale, Digitorum and Targod Shirley collided soon after the start checking Daylen Bale, Digitorum and Targod Shirley.  

A pre-race sample was taken from Invictus Jaxson.

Weblec Jet and What Could Be collided soon after the start.  What Could Be, Fabriola Ximenez, Invictus Jaxson, Stay Strong, Bell Burner and Party Lights collided approaching the first turn checking Invictus Jaxson, Party Lights, Stay Strong and Bell Burner.  What Could Be checked off Stay Strong on the second turn and collided with Bell Burner.  Invictus Jaxson and Golden Quest collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Gracie Bale was slow to begin.

Well Grounded, My Neo and Tough Tears collided soon after the start checking Well Grounded and My Neo.  Indy Honey and Do Good Davlin collided on the first turn.  Well Grounded checked off Indy Honey entering the back straight.  Tough Tears and Indy Honey collided in the back straight.  My Neo and Tough Tears collided approaching the third turn checking Tough Tears.  

A post-race sample was taken from Zivon Bale - winner of the event. 

Icarus Bale and Aston Harlow were quick to begin.

So Hazy, Zipping Heat and Big Wings collided soon after the start.  Old News and Sir Champ collided in the front straight.  Zipping Heat, So Hazy, Sir Champ and Old News collided approaching the first turn checking Old News, Sir Champ and So Hazy.  Icarus Bale, Aston Harlow, Zipping Heat and Big Wings collided on the first turn checking Zipping Heat, Big Wings and Busy Time.  So Hazy checked off Sir Champ entering the back straight.  Big Wings and Busy Time collided on the third turn.  Zipping Heat and Icarus Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Big Wings and Busy Time collided approaching the home turn. 

Candy Carrera and Zambora Richie were slow to begin.

Candy Carrera checked off Zambora Richie soon after the start.  Clips, Paisanos and Zambora Richie collided in the front straight checking all three greyhounds.  Paisanos and Candy Carrera collided on the second turn.  Octavia Bale checked off Zambora Richie on the second turn.  Octavia Bale and Paisanos collided on the third turn checking Paisanos.  Collinda Patty and Pazienza collided on the home turn.

Nifty Nangar, Numerology and Arlington collided soon after the start.  Thunder Dash and Crabby Yabby collided soon after the start.  Arlington, Thunder Dash, Crabby Yabby and Take A Sunflower collided approaching the first turn severely checking Thunder Dash and Crabby Yabby, Crabby Yabby fell as a result.  Always Ho Ho contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Take A Sunflower and Numerology collided on the first turn.  

Always Ho Ho underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
