Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward, B. Van De Maat, did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Star To Burn was slow to begin.
Star To Burn and Further Dreamer collided soon after the start. Sonic Sensation, Super Nat, Society Icon and How's It Alice collided soon after the start. Star To Burn, Further Dreamer, Tigers Nineteen, Sonic Sensation and Super Nat collided at the 250m mark checking Further Dreamer. Star To Burn and Tigers Nineteen collided approaching the 200m mark. Tigers Nineteen and Super Nat collided several times from approaching the 150m mark to approaching the winning post. Star To Burn and Sonic Sensation collided at the 150m mark checking Star To Burn.
Society Icon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr James Van de Maat regarding the racing manners of Society Icon approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Van de Maat, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
