All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.
Electro Guru was slow to begin.
Heart Of Rio checked off Another Mick soon after the start. Pure Mania and Electro Guru collided on the first turn checking Electro Guru severely checking Pure Mania which fell as a result.
Pure Mania underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
