Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.
Tahnee's Flash was very slow to begin (4 lengths).
Axel Rose checked off Reality Crowns approaching the first turn. Andrea's Gift and Miss Button collided approaching the first turn. Tahnee's Flash brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Reality Crowns, Andrea's Gift and Queen Kathleen collided on the first turn checking Killshot, severely checking Reality Crowns and Andrea's Gift. Tahnee's Flash galloped on Axel Rose on the first turn. Reality Crowns and Tahnee's Flash collided on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Reality Pest checked off Queen Kathleen on the home turn.
Tahnee's Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Jones, the handler of Axel Rose and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds boxing manners.
