Steward's Report
Dorellie Love was slow to begin.
Wild Aces Agago, Tails Of Woe, Scary Too and Bark Healy collided on the first turn checking Tails Of Woe and Scary Too. Wild Aces Agago checked off Fallen Petal on the second turn and collided with Bark Healy. Dorellie Love and Fallen Petal collided on the fourth turn checking Fallen Petal. Dorellie Love turned its head inwards in the home straight and visibly eased.
Dorellie Love underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front and hind paws and a left eye condition, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Aaron Farley regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dorellie Love was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Farley pleaded guilty to the charge, Dorellie Love was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Martin Absalom regarding the racing manners of Tails Of Woe on the second turn and in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Absalom, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
