All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

The start was delayed by 10 minutes due to a mechanical issue with the catching pen gate. Club staff rectified the issue and the start time for race one was rescheduled to 5:57pm. 

Aston Reina and Madison Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking Madison Rose.  Our Magic Miss, Aston Reina and Without Reason collided on the first turn; severely checking Our Magic Miss; checking Aston Gray.

Exit Speed underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and left foreleg chest injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Our Boy - second placed in the event.

Following the delay in race one, the starting time for race 2 was rescheduled to 6:07 pm.

My Name's Karen was slow to begin (3L).

My Believer and Master Ogilvie collided soon after the start.  Cephalopod Quill, My Believer and Master Ogilvie collided approaching the first turn; checking My Believer and Master Ogilvie.  Highlighted and Shaggy Rufus collided on the first turn; severely checking Highlighted.  My Believer, Master Ogilvie and My Name's Karen collided on the first turn; checking My Believer and Master Ogilvie.  Master Ogilvie checked off Cephalopod Quill approaching the home turn.  Cephalopod Quill and Shaggy Rufus collided approaching the home turn; severely checking Cephalopod Quill.

Highlighted underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Global Fix – Late scratching at 5:06 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mrs Jennifer Torr was fined $100.

Aston Arena was slow to begin.

Impingement and Stylish Ken collided entering the home straight.  Ludgate and Aston Arena collided in the home straight, checking Ludgate.

Weblec Cruiser and Holly Fever collided approaching the first turn, checking Holly Fever.  Sprinkler System and Aston Ryker collided on the first turn; checking Sprinkler System and Wooden Fingers; severely checking Our Flying Bolt.  Wooden Fingers and Holly Fever collided on the home turn.

Ava's Journey was slow to begin.

Ivanka Tea and Jezzali collided on the first turn, checking Ivanka Tea.

Devine Empress galloped on Aston Komuni on the first turn; checking both greyhounds.  Dynamo Dash, Runaway Miss and My Name's Stacey collided on the first turn.  Dynamo Dash and Runaway Miss collided on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Idolize - the winner of the event.

An out of competition sample was taken from Earthworm Jim on Wednesday, 2 March 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Perfect Flossy, Destini Saxon, Dynamic Prince, Jefferson County and Substantial collided soon after the start.  Master Avenger and Perfect Flossy collided approaching the first turn, checking Perfect Flossy.  Master Avenger and Destini Saxon collided on the first turn; severely checking Master Avenger and Earthworm Jim.

A pre-race sample was taken from In A Blue.

Mighty Pie and Windy Storm collided approaching the first turn, checking Windy Storm.  Brewski Bruce, Jungle Panther and Mighty Pie collided on the first turn; severely checking Mighty Pie; causing Windy Storm to fall.  In A Blue checked off High End approaching the home turn; severely checking High End and Orson Thunder.  High End and Orson Thunder collided on the home turn, checking High End.  Mighty Pie tailed off.

It was noted that the muzzle of Windy Storm became dislodged during the running of the event.

A post-race sample was taken from Matt's Hope - the winner of the event.

Soleus and Deedee's Charm collided soon after the start and again on the first turn, checking Soleus.  Soleus and Deedee's Charm collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Elliott Ness.

Blue Spot, Basmati and Diamond Ability collided soon after the start.  Change Of Habit, Blue Spot and Diamond Ability collided on the first turn; checking Aston Sonic and Basmati; severely checking Change Of Habit, which stumbled as a result.  Basmati contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.

Basmati underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg thigh injury.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Ertugrul Bey was slow to begin.  On The Mend was very slow to begin (3L).

Run Home Jack and Winklee Sprite collided in the home straight.  Market Scooby and Winklee Sprite collided approaching the winning post.
