Seize Possession was quick to begin.
Django Maskiell was slow to begin.
Superb and Lily Jane collided soon after the start. Superb turned its head to the outside and crossed out at 150m mark. Superb and My Mate Sid collided at the 125m mark. Seize Possession checked off Superb at the 100m mark. Superb and My Mate Sid collided several times approaching the winning post.
Superb underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Garry Selkrig regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Superb was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Selkrig pleaded guilty to the charge, Superb was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
