All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

I'm Indigo was quick to begin. Flying Ocean and Luna Town were slow to begin. 

Reality Infrared and Thybulle Bale collided soon after the start. Ysabel Bale and Reality Infrared collided approaching the first turn. Louie Zeus and Luna Town collided approaching the first turn. Flying Ocean checked off Reality Infrared on the first turn, checking Louie Zeus. 

Henry The Hawk was quick to begin. Bolter's Grange was slow to begin. 

Bolter's Grange and Natural Image collided soon after the start. Henry The Hawk and Drop The Hammer collided approaching the first turn. Bolter's Grange galloped on Henry The Hawk approaching first turn, checking Henry The Hawk. Ocean Legend checked off Yeva Bale and collided with Drop The Hammer on the first turn. Natural Image and Drop The Hammer collided on the first turn, causing Drop The Hammer to stumble and lose ground. Drop The Hammer galloped on Natural Image on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Henry The Hawk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a monkey muscle injury.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Marcus Lloyd regarding the greyhound's performance approaching the first turn. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Lloyd to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Henry The Hawk in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Supplementary Report 07/03/2022:  Kennel Representative, Mr. Keith Lloyd notified Stewards that Henry The Hawk was found to have a right thigh, right hip and monkey muscle injury.

War Of Words – Late scratching at 5:51p.m. due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. War Of Words underwent a kennelling veterinary examination and was found to be dehydrated.

Winkcup Bale was quick to begin. Al's Shout was slow to begin. 

Laid Back Larry and Zella Bale collided approaching the first turn. Winkcup Bale and Laid Back Larry collided approaching the first turn. Mahogany Flame checked off Laid Back Larry approaching the first turn. Peccavi and Al's Shout collided on the first turn, severely checking both. Winkcup Bale and Laid Back Larry collided on the first turn, checking Laid Back Larry. 

A post-race sample was taken from Zella Bale - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Viking Commander

Viking Commander and Mini Dimmy were slow to begin.

Aston Oscar contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Vans Turbo and Viking Commander collided on the first turn, checking Vans Turbo. 

Aston Oscar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil muscle and a groin injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rush Out and Hannele Bale collided approaching the first turn. Aston Hebe, Rush Out and Hannele Bale collided on the first turn, checking Rush Out and Hannele Bale. Zara's Princess galloped on Hannele Bale on the first turn, checking Zara's Princess. Aston Hebe raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Bluenose Best.

Paua Of Buddy and Zipping Panama were quick to begin. Callum's Capers was slow to begin. 

Circumstance galloped on Peaky Pub approaching the first turn. Bluenose Best and Circumstance collided on the first turn. Bluenose Best raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Paua Of Buddy - the winner of the event.

Rocky Strike was quick to begin. Need A Jockey was slow to begin. 

Spun Out checked off Indian Show approaching the first turn. Spring Bjorn and Need A Jockey collided on the first turn. High Action raced wide on the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gregory McRae, trainer of Spun Out, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. McRae, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

A pre-race sample was taken from Quincee Bale.

Quincee Bale was quick to begin. Aston Velvet stumbled and was slow to begin. 

Scuffy and Smokin' Grille collided entering the back straight.

Riverdale Bonnie and Olivia Twist collided on the first turn. Miss Daisy Hill and Dance To Forget collided on the first turn. Miss Daisy Hill shifted out and turned it's head outwards and collided with Dance To Forget several times on the home turn. Miss Daisy Hill and Dance To Forget collided approaching the winning post.

Miss Daisy Hill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wound left front leg.  No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Martin Taylor, Trainer, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Miss Daisy Hill was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Martin Taylor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Miss Daisy Hill was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hacker was quick to begin. Mahogany Queen was slow to begin. 

Pai Gow Poker and Trending Air collided approaching the first turn. Padrino Rocks and Pai Gow Poker collided on the first turn. Graphic Design checked off Distinguish entering the home straight.

Avery was quick to begin.

Tokyo Ted and Numinous collided on the first turn. Avery and Trending Power collided on the home turn. Trending Power brushed the running rail on the home turn. Avery and Tokyo Ted collided in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Teddy Logan.

Jonas was slow to begin.

Teddy Logan and Aston Harrison collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Teddy Logan and Zambora Bear collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Tinker Mighty shifted out and raced wide in the home straight. 

Aston Harrison underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
