Lightning Gadget and Wild Harmony were slow to begin.
Silver Power checked off Dancing Rose on the first turn, checking Jayla Bale. Over Load and Dancing Rose collided approaching the home turn, checking Over Load. Dancing Rose and Wild Harmony collided on the home turn.
Silver Power underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg thigh muscle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
