Original Chicken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wound to the right fore paw and the left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms D. Coleman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Original Chicken was charged with marring. Ms Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Original Chicken was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Earthworm Jim – Late scratching at 9:57am when Trainer Mr Keith Hellmuth reported the greyhound to have a fibula injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards accepted Mr Hellmuth's explanation for the late scratching.

Xavien Bale was quick to begin. Dynamic Prince and Osprey Phantom were slow to begin.
