Black Sail was slow to begin.

Black Sail, Dunwerkin and Kinrock Star collided on the first turn checking Black Sail and Bunwerkin. Sore Loser and Tannymorel Lass collided on the second turn checking Kinrock Star and causing Sore Loser to contact the running rail and loose ground as a result. Black Sail and Dunwerkin collided in the back straight. Kinrock Star checked off Tannymorel Lass in the home straight. Kinrock Star and Tannymorel Lass collided in the home straight. Kinrock Star marred Tannymorel Lass in the home straight. 

Kinrock Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind webbing.  No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Mario Briganti, the Trainer of Kinrock Star, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Kinrock Star was charged with marring. Mr. Briganti pleaded guilty to the charge and Kinrock Star was suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sore Loser underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

A post-race sample was taken from Surreptitious - the winner of the event.

Big Opal Rocks was slow to begin.

Knowing and His Got Tow collided soon after the start. Love The City and Jebrynah Astra collided soon after the start. Knowing and Love The City collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Jebrynah Astra and Big Opal Rocks collided on the first turn checking Big Opal Rocks and severely checking Jebrynah Astra. Love The City checked off Knowing on the home turn.

Jebrynah Astra underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind webbing. No stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Mantra and Rio Tommy collided soon after the start.

Mepunga Mantra underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Oda May was slow to begin.

Leaping Lydia and Quarantined collided soon after the start. Emma's Image and Impending collided approaching the first turn. Leaping Lydia and Why Not Lilah collided on the first turn.  Emma's Image and Impending collided on the first turn. Panadero Grace checked off Impending in the back straight checking Panadero Grace. Panadero Grace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right dew claw injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards noted that the first split time initially displayed on the semaphore board was incorrect. Stewards sought to rectify this issue as soon as possible.

Flying Silk – New declared weight of 26.0 kg, last raced at 27.2 kg.

Rainbow City began awkwardly. Rainbow City and Metro Boomin' collided soon after the start. Rainbow City checked off Metro Boomin' approaching the first turn checking Rainbow City. 

Rainbow City underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left fore webbing. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Paul Santoro, Trainer of Rainbow City, regarding the greyhound's overall performance in this event.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Santoro to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rainbow City in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. Mr. Santoro further advised Stewards that he believed the greyhound's performance may be attributed to it's relative inexperience at the track as well as it's poor start to the event. Mr. Santoro believed the greyhound would have been better suited to a more front-running position early.

Stewards noted that the first split time initially displayed on the semaphore board was incorrect. Stewards sought to rectify this issue as soon as possible.

East Street was quick to begin.

Destructive Riot and Egyptian Tiger collided soon after the start checking Destructive Riot. East Street and Hurricane Keely collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Keely.

High Plain, Innocent Diva, My Bro Joe, Rocky Horror, Got The Blues and Bad Medicine collided soon after the start checking High Plain and Got The Blues. Innocent Diva and My Bro Joe collided approaching the first turn checking Innocent Diva. Room To Boom and My Bro Joe collided on the first turn checking My Bro Joe, Got The Blues and Redzin.

Enemy Within – Late scratching at 7:28am when Mr Jason Thompson reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Wigram Road was slow to begin.

Chop Scotch and Nikephoros collided soon after the start. Nikephoros and Wigram Road collided on the first turn checking Wigram Road and severely checking Nikephoros.

Grey Not Blue was quick to begin.

Obsession Agogo, Amelie Otis, Pretty Mouse and Shifting Sands collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds. Amelie Otis checked off Obsession Agogo approaching the first turn checking Amelie Otis and Pretty Mouse. Obsession Agogo checked off Stratospheric on the first turn. Shifting Sands and Ingenuity collided approaching the third turn checking Shifting Sands.

Rocket Power was quick to begin.

Kuta Cowboy and Dorellie Love collided soon after the start. Capra and Keybow Sally collided soon after the start. Keybow Sally and One Thrill collided soon after the start. Capra and Cabernet Girl collided soon after the start. One Thrill and Dorellie Love collided on the first turn. Rocket Power and Capra collided in the back straight checking Rocket Power. Keybow Sally and Kuta Cowboy collided in the back straight checking Keybow Sally. Keybow Sally checked off Dorellie Love on the third turn.

Invictus Louie was slow to begin.

Hurricane Pete and Rezzie's Shout collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mechanics Kismet and Joffa's Liberty collided on the first turn checking Joffa's Liberty and Beers On Brody. Golden Ratio and Rezzie's Shout collided on the home turn. 

Hurricane Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Humanity – Late scratching at 13:18 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. B. De Rozario was fined $100.00.

Humanity underwent a veterinary examination at kennelling and was found to be mildly dehydrated. No stand down period was imposed.

Shining Gem and Moraine Hayley were quick to begin.
