All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 24.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.6 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Brightly Staring was slow to begin. Big Boy Duke, Brightly Staring and Sartana collided soon after the start. Big Boy Duke, Brightly Staring, Sartana, Baffling, Crystal Rocks, Double Top and Bear Lee Bandit collided on the first turn checking Big Boy Duke, Brightly Staring, Sartana and Bear Lee bandit and severely checking Baffling and Crystal Rocks, causing Crystal Rocks to pull up as a result. Patchy Walloper visibly eased on the first turn and collided with Big Boy Duke and Brightly Staring checking all three greyhounds. Big Boy Duke and Baffling collided approaching the home turn. Double Top and Bear Lee Bandit collided in the home straight checking Double Top.

Patchy Walloper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Leonard Jones, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Patchy Walloper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Patchy Walloper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crystal Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder blade fracture and wrist sprain. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Gem Victorem was a late scratching at 11:34am by Order of Stewards. As a result acting under GAR 20(3)(n) Trainer Mr R.Gray was expelled from todays meeting. An inquiry has been opened and adjourned regarding the late scratching. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Formosa's Boy.

Rose Danae – New declared weight of 28.2kg, last raced at 27.0kg.

Formosa's Boy was quick to begin. Divine Calling and Ella Grace collided approaching the first turn checking Divine Calling. Rose Danae and Formosa's Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Formosa's Boy. Divine Calling and Formosa's Boy collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Rose Danae - winner of the event.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Halloumi with Trainer Mr Jason Formosa and noted his comments.

Orson King was slow to begin. All Inn Velvet and Devil's Water collided soon after the start checking Devil's Water. King Kenny and Marley Griff collided on the first turn checking King Kenny. All Inn Velvet, Orson King, Devil's Water and Halloumi collided on the first turn checking All Inn Velvet and Orson King. All Inn Velvet and Big Vader collided approaching the home turn. Devil's Water and Halloumi collided on the home turn.

Halloumi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Ombra was a late scratching at 11:34am by Order of Stewards. As a result acting under GAR 20(3)(n) Trainer Mr R.Gray was expelled from todays meeting. An inquiry has been opened and adjourned regarding the late scratching.

Dementor and All Fear were slow to begin. Dementor galloped on the heels of Clase Azul on the first turn checking Knight's Cross, Clase Azul, Veracruz Bale, Dementor and All Fear. Hannah's Tiger brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Veracruz Bale and Dementor collided entering the home straight.

Affair Fantasy and Lucky Molly collided soon after the start checking Affair Fantasy. Lucky Molly and Keepsake collided approaching the first turn checking Lucky Molly. Affair Fantasy, Tat Yummy and Keepsake collided on the first turn checking Affair Fantasy and Tat Yummy. Dr. Barrett and Tat Panda collided on the first turn checking Tat Panda. Lucky Molly and Tat Panda collided approaching the home turn checking Lucky Molly. Princess Vegas and Dr. Barrett collided on the home turn and entering the home straight. Keepsake raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Prince Of Idol stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Why Delila and Autumn Doll collided soon after the start. Autumn Doll and Holiday In Paris raced wide in the home straight.

Moon Sister – New declared weight of 29.2kg, last raced at 27.8kg.

Jayville Menace and Moon Sister were slow to begin. Fab Six, Kaiden and Siala Giblet collided approaching the first turn. Fab Six, Kaiden, Siala Giblet and Parasite collided on the first turn checking Fab Six and Parasite and severely checking Kaiden and Siala Giblet.

A post-race sample was taken from Gregarious - winner of the event.

Swarm – Late scratching at 2:08pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right wrist injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Lunaray and Ultimate Mayhem collided approaching the first turn checking Lunaray. Lunaray and Fashion Icon collided on the first turn. Crystal Opal and Fashion Icon collided entering the home straight. Aston Garner lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Aston Garner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering heat stress. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

All Inn Cash, Mystery Flame, Milo Rose and Patricia's Damien were slow to begin.

Mystery Flame and Milo Rose collided soon after the start. Red Raven, Amber Beauty, Mystery Flame and Milo Rose collided on the first turn checking Red Raven, Amber Beauty, All Inn Cash and Mystery Flame. Red Raven checked off All Inn Cash approaching the home turn.

Draconic Lad was slow to begin.

Yallock Lass and Lord Maxie collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Huntly Flyer, Yallock Lass, Lord Maxie, Shania's Dream and Aston Scepter collided on the first turn checking Yallock Lass, Lord Maxie, Shania's Dream, Draconic Lad and Aston Scepter. Lord Maxie raced wide approaching the home turn checking Lord Maxie and Draconic Lad. King Chad and Ramadi Bale collided on the home turn and in the home straight.

Shania's Dream underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Kraken Latte was slow to begin. Kraken Latte and Silky Rose collided on the first turn.
