All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Triple Cross.  A post race sample was subsequently taken.

Triple Cross and Goolagong were quick to begin.  Oriental Elsa was slow to begin.  Blair’s Rex was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Limerance crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Specter Litt and Starter’s King checking Specter Litt, severely checking Starter’s King.  Starter’s King and Oriental Elsa collided entering the home straight.  Specter Litt crossed out and raced wide in the home straight.

Midnight Switch was quick to begin.  Galloping Sooty was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Real Mickoy crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Ruby Runner severely checking Ruby Runner.  Real Mickoy was checked off Tilting Tilly on the first turn.  Ice Cool Kimmi was checked off Midnight Switch on the home turn.  Galloping Sooty raced wide In the home straight.

A post race sample was taken from Wharfie - winner of the event.

Our Solitaire was slow to begin.  Old Ecca crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Sir Marley, Jay Jay Lopez and Aston Jazz.  Jay Jay Lopez and Chanel Miss collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Our Solitaire was checked off Old Ecca on the first turn.  Our Solitaire stumbled on the home turn.  Sir Marley and Leg Burner collided on the home turn causing Sir Marley to cross out and collide with Old Ecca.  Aston Jazz was checked off Leg Burner entering the home straight.  Sir Marley raced wide in the home straight.  Old Ecca and Jay Jay Lopez collided several times in the home straight.

Our Solitaire underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Flywheel Bandit was quick to begin.  Rapid Voyage was slow to begin.  My Shout and Urana Wendy collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds  Rapid Voyage and Aston Knox collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Urana Wendy was checked off Cryptic Vixen entering the home straight.

Broady Lights was quick to begin.  Love And Thunder was slow to begin.  Little Kit, Aston Jive and Love And Thunder collided entering the home straight.  It’s Not Fun raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sir Harley.

Jet Like Rico was quick to begin.  Inga Ollie was slow to begin.  Sir Harley was checked off Sierra Foxtrot on the first turn.  Inga Ollie was checked off Sir Harley on the home turn.  Inga Ollie, Sir Harley and Mow A Meadow collided entering the home straight severely checking Sir Harley.  Sir Harley crossed out and raced wide in the home straight.  

Midnight Vandal - Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the box first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Coolant was quick to begin.  Princess Lace and Aston Sylvie collided soon after the start causing Princess Lace to fall.  Compton Blazer and Aston Sylvie collided approaching the first turn checking Compton Blazer, severely checking Aston Sylvie.  Fargo and Little Nellie collided on the home turn checking Little Nellie.  Narcissus and Little Nellie collided entering the home straight.

Fargo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle, left groin and an abrasion on a left hind toe.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Princess Lace underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on a left front toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Big Fonzie and Aston Marley were quick to begin.  Aston Marley and Soda Fizz collided several times on the first turn checking Soda Fizz, severely checking Aston Marley.  El Dorado and Propelled collided on the first turn checking Propelled.

An out of competition sample was taken from Nitroglycerine on 17 January 2022, pursuant to GAR 79A.

My Name’s Jock stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Top Faith, Rizzo and Apache Runner collided approaching the first turn.  Apache Runner and Jazz Opera collided on the first turn checking Jazz Opera.

Post race samples were taken from Top Faith and Apache Runner - winners of the event (dead heat).

Party Doll was quick to begin.  Star Night and Shadow Jewel collided on the first turn checking Shadow Jewel.  Red Nangana and Shadow Jewel collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Star Night and Count Me In collided on the first turn checking Count Me In which stumbled.  Red Nangana was checked off Count Me In on the first turn.

Shango Run - Late scratching at 5.27pm on the advice of the on track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an abrasion on a right front toe.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Baby Pechey, Rip Off Roslyn and High Plain collided approaching the first turn.  Rip Off Roslyn and Baby Pechey collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Toyed raced wide on the home turn.  Rip Off Roslyn crossed out in the home straight.

My Gem was quick to begin.  Manila Shine and Self Belief collided soon after the start checking Self Belief.  Kingy Lights and Aston Rocket collided approaching the first turn.  Kingy Lights brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Mighty Tuscany crossed out on the first turn and collided with Aston Rocket severely checking Mighty Tuscany, Aston Rocket and Self Belief. Kingy Lights and Self Belief collided entering the home straight.
