Riverdale Tommy and Joyous Venture collided approaching the first turn. Magical Doll checked off Joyous Moment on the first turn checking Leo Giblet and Joyous Venture causing Joyous Venture to fall. Joyous Moment checked off Josie's Call approaching the home turn. Riverdale Tommy checked off Magical Doll in the home straight. Joyous Moment and Josie's Call collided approaching the winning post.
Joyous Venture underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a shin soreness to both forelegs and the left hindleg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
