All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

An out of competition sample was taken from Yield on 10/01/2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Yield was quick to begin. Leggero was slow to begin.

Leggero and Bear Lee Bandit collided approaching the 300m mark and again approaching the 250m mark checking Leggero. Affair Beauty crossed out approaching the 150m mark. Bear Lee Bandit galloped on the heels of Affair Beauty. Average Axel checked off Affair Beauty approaching the 50m mark.

Dark Pearl and Balts Assassin were slow to begin.

Lucky Tarra crossed out soon after the start checking Dark Pearl. Prince Of Melton and Inter Angela collided soon after the start. Lucky Tarra, Prince Of Melton and Inter Angela collided at the 250m mark checking Prince Of Melton. Prince Of Melton raced wide approaching the 200m mark. Lucky Tarra and Inter Angela collided approaching the 200m mark and again approaching the 100m mark. Dark Pearl checked off Lucky Tarra at the 100m mark.

Our Maxie Boy – Late scratching at 8:39am when Mr Darren Irby reported the greyhound to have some lameness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Isabella Spolly – New declared weight of 29.3kg, last raced at 30.6kg.

Jam Jam – New declared weight of 31.5kg, last raced at 29.7kg.

Replicant went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Ombra and My Annabelle collided soon after the start. Ombra checked off Jam Jam and collided with My Annabelle at the 250m mark. Ombra checked off Isabella Spolly approaching the 200m mark. Ombra and My Annabelle raced wide from the 200m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Dazzling.

Armatree Arrow was slow to begin.

Magical Path and Teofimo collided soon after the start. Lock Cracker and Magical Path collided approaching the 250m mark. Armatree Arrow and Call Me Jade collided approaching the 250m mark. Call Me Jade checked off Armatree Arrow at the 200m mark. Lock Cracker and Teofimo collided at the 200m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sassy Boo.

Florentino and My Name's Joe were slow to begin.

My Name's Joe stumbled soon after the start. Florentino marred Sassy Boo approaching the 100m mark checking Sassy Boo. 

Florentino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Richard Gray, the trainer of Florentino regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 100m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Florentino was charged with marring. Mr. Gray pleaded guilty to the charge and Florentino was suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Make A Pat and Monster Pearl collided soon after the start. Whispy Watson checked off Low Planes and collided with Magic Marjen approaching the 250m mark.

Addy's Evie and Fairytale Bliss were slow to begin.

Fernando Booker faltered and tailed off approaching the 100m mark.

Fernando Booker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching the 100m mark and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Misty Rainbow and Gunai Outlaw were slow to begin.

Gunai Outlaw crossed out approaching the 250m mark. Gunai Outlaw and Half A Double collided approaching the 200m mark. Fernandes and Half A Double collided approaching the 200m mark. Fernandes shifted out approaching the 100m mark checking Half A Double. Fernandes and Toyed raced wide from the 100m mark.

An out of competition sample was taken from Rear View Mirror on 10/01/2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Ms Nicole Lummas failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare American Missile for racing.  Ms Lummas was reminded of her responsibilities pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Rear View Mirror and American Missile collided approaching the 300m mark.

Big Beaver was slow to begin.

Bella Porscha and Vesna Spolly collided approaching the 200m mark. Big Beaver, Bella Porscha and Vesna Spolly collided approaching the 150m mark checking Bella Porscha and Vesna Spolly. Big Beaver and My Prom Queen collided approaching the 50m mark.

Agronomous was slow to begin.

Especial Empire and Winklee Sprite collided approaching the 200m mark. Shady Talks galloped on the heels of Especial Empire approaching the 150m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Valerie.

Busy Izzy and Betty Spolly collided several times throughout the running of this event.

Billy Tirch shifted out approaching the 100m mark.

Just The Marjen – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
