Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, kennelling was delayed due to the weather conditions with continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the venue. As a result the meeting was delayed by 1 race and all races re-scheduled accordingly. Race 1-11:07am, Race 2- 11:27am, Race 3- 11:42am, Race 4- 12:01pm, Race 5- 12:17pm, Race 6- 12:37pm, Race 7- 12:54pm, Race 8- 1:12pm, Race 9- 1:27pm, Race 10- 1:47pm, Race 11- 2:07pm, Race 12- 2:23pm.
Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following heavy rainfall in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
Chasing The Edge was slow to begin.
Crusoe Kid and Forbes Delight collided soon after the start. Princess Peggy, Crusoe Kid and Forbes Delight collided at the 250m mark. Crusoe Kid and Forbes Delight collided at the 150m mark.
